INDIBLU CREATIVE TAKES A GOOD CAUSE VIRAL
Local nonprofit launches e-appeal video to raise awareness and funds

Charlotte, NC – Indiblu Creative is tapping social networks and email inboxes to raise awareness and $10,000 in funds through an innovative viral video campaign. The ”Dream Revolution” video short features local celebrities, volunteers, employees, and individuals supported by Monarch, an organization which helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness, and substance abuse issues in 44 counties throughout North Carolina.

The e-appeal is designed to encourage small donations by thousands of people through its compelling message and its ease of sharing with others. In the same way friends pass along “Saturday Night Live” clips or home videos via Facebook, Twitter or email, viewers can share this two-minute video with others who may share a desire to help.

Kimber Flynn, president and creative director of Indiblu Creative, said, “This e-appeal allows viewers to get another perspective from people supported by the nonprofit and to see how deeply the organization impacts people’s lives. We believe the emotional and inspirational direction of the appeal will inspire much-needed support since funding from various sources has been cut this year.”

Flynn added, “The future of nonprofit fundraising is dependent on new technology and its viral functionality. A strong brand, message, and cause is something people can and will identify with. Now they can easily share their cause with their friends.”

Peggy Terhune, executive director of Monarch, said:  “We provided a sneak peak of the video to attendees of our inaugural Dreams Take Flight Golf Tournament and the response was overwhelmingly positive. The people featured are the real heroes of this effort. Their support is much appreciated. We look forward to the launch of the appeal and the response.”

Look for celebrities Mike Minter, formerly of the Carolina Panthers, as well as a number of employees and individuals supported by Monarch who appear in the short produced by Mad Toy Box Films. The appeal will be sent on June 4 and will be available on the website www.monarchnc.org or going to the link http://www.monarchnc.org/donation/video.aspx The goal of this effort is to raise $10,000 in just four weeks.
