Kimber Flynn, president and creative director of Indiblu Creative, has been chosen as one of The Mecklenburg Times’ 2010 “50 Most Influential Women.” Selected by a panel of business leaders, the award honors the most influential women in business, government, education, and non-profit fields.
Flynn’s contributions to the community are evident in both her professional and personal life. A long time advocate for nonprofits, she started her own company – Indiblu Creative – as a resource for educational clients and nonprofits in need of brand and creative assistance, but lacking in the budget department. Thanks to the structure of Indiblu and the caliber of the work, Indiblu has provided results-driven, award-winning initiatives for its clients while maintaining reasonable costs for nearly ten years.
Flynn also finds the time to contribute to her community in a variety of ways. She volunteers at group homes and does outreach to seniors. She helps organize outings for developmentally disabled young adults. She also donates many extra hours of work and ideas to nonprofits in the community.
Kimber is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), and University and College Designers Association (UCDA). She is also involved with Healing Horses, which affiliated with Project H.A.L.O.
Flynn and the other honorees will be recognized Friday, April 23 at a reception at the McGlohon Theatre in Uptown Charlotte.
