Indiblu Creative Receives Hermes Award for Advertising
Charlotte firm honored with international award for second consecutive year

Charlotte, NC –Indiblu Creative has once again achieved one of the highest honors among branding and advertising firms – the international Hermes Award for Excellence in Advertising.  Indiblu is being honored with a gold level award for work on the Reality Check campaign for its client Monarch.

Kimber Flynn, president and creative director at Indiblu Creative, said, “This is such a huge achievement for us. The campaign for ‘Reality Check’ was one of the most challenging we have had yet. With a target audience ranging from 7-18, it was not an easy project from day one. But, to maximize dollars for our client and to help the kids, we found a way to make it work.”

The Reality Check campaign is an effort on behalf of Monarch and is supported in part with funding from the Stanly County United Way, Speedway Children’s Charities, and Stanly County Partners in Health. The goal of Reality Check was to reach out to youth of all ages in an effort to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness and to encourage people to reach out to get help for themselves or to help others. The pop celebrity concept encompassed an edgy, upbeat look with short passages arranged much like a web page.

“Kids today want their information to be relevant, visually compelling, and brief. Everything needs to be in short sketch form – much like a web site or texting,” said Flynn, who prides herself on keeping ahead of the trends.

Hermes Creative Awards recognize outstanding work by creative professionals while promoting the philanthropic nature of marketing and communication professionals. Indiblu was selected from over 3,100 entries received throughout the United States and several other countries. The awards are judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. AMCP judges are industry professionals who seek out companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.
